Tip from Carla, our Wedding Planner

Dates to absolutely avoid in Cannes: the Festival (May), MIPIM (March), Cannes Lions (June), Yachting Festival (September). On these dates, the best estates are taken and all suppliers (florists, caterers, photographers) are overloaded. Prefer July, August (quiet in Cannes in terms of professional events), or October for the exceptional light.

Civil ceremony: where to get married?

The civil ceremony MUST take place at the town hall. In Cannes: main town hall, marriage only on Saturday morning. In Antibes, Mougins, Saint-Paul-de-Vence: also possible during the week. To marry in these municipalities, one of the spouses must have a connection there (residence or parent).

Secular ceremony: legal value

No legal value in France. Purely symbolic. But emotionally very powerful and allows full personalisation. The officiant is often a loved one or a professional wedding officiant.

Religious ceremony

Possible in a private chapel (rare, diocese authorisation required) or local church. Procedures 6-9 months before (parish preparation mandatory for Catholics).

A wedding in Cannes in a private villa means giving your guests 3-7 days of shared holiday in a dream setting. The wedding becomes the highlight, but the entire experience marks everyone for life.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I start organising?

Ideally 12-18 months for the best estates in peak season. Possible in 6-9 months for more flexible dates or off-peak season. 'Last-minute' weddings (3 months) are possible but with reduced options.

Can the civil ceremony take place at the villa?

No, the civil ceremony must take place at the town hall. The secular ceremony can, with no legal value but strong emotional resonance.

Can a villa be rented just for the wedding day?

On some villas yes, but it is rare and not optimal. Most weddings use the villa for at least 3-5 days (preparation, wedding day, day after).

What is the maximum capacity in your estates?

300 seated guests in our largest châteaux (with municipal authorisation). 200 in family bastides. 100-150 in contemporary villas.

What happens if it rains on the day?

All our wedding villas have an indoor solution (ballroom, large veranda, or orangery). Plan B is provided from the production phase.

Do you accept LGBT+ weddings?

Of course. Civil marriage has been open since 2013 in France. Our team is trained and several of our staff are themselves LGBT+. No discrimination ever.

Can you organise a multicultural wedding?

Yes, this is one of our specialities: Franco-Asian weddings (integrating Chinese or Indian rituals), Franco-Arab, etc. We bring in specialist caterers and officiants.

How does coordination with my own suppliers (photographer, etc.) work?

If you have your trusted suppliers: we coordinate everything. Joint briefings, detailed schedule. No imposed suppliers if you have your own.

A tailor-made request?

Our concierge team responds within 2 hours with a fully tailored proposal. Absolute discretion guaranteed.
