The essentials in 30 seconds

A luxury concierge service in Cannes bills under three models: per assignment (250 to 12,000 EUR), per day (800 to 2,500 EUR/day) or via a monthly retainer (1,500 to 12,000 EUR/month). The rate depends on the hours worked, the partner services involved, and how urgent the request is. A reputable agency will provide a line-by-line quote, with their fees clearly separated from the cost of the underlying services.

The 3 billing models explained

1. Per-assignment package (the most common)

You have ONE specific, well-defined request: organising a dinner for 12 guests in a villa, chartering a yacht for the day, securing Festival accreditations. The concierge bills the actual time spent (typically 80-150 EUR per hour in fees) plus a commission on partner services (yacht, caterer, transport).

Worked example: organising a private dinner for 10 guests in a villa with a Michelin-starred chef. Our coordination time = 8 hours (sourcing the villa, negotiating with the chef, wine and floral suppliers, briefings). Fees: 8 x 110 EUR = 880 EUR ex VAT. Total cost added to the villa and the chef.

Marc's tip

ALWAYS ask for an hourly breakdown. If an agency bills you a flat 'organisation package 5,000 EUR' with no detail, there is a hidden margin somewhere. A genuinely transparent agency will give you the estimated number of hours and their hourly rate.

2. Daily or weekly package (short stay)

For a 3 to 14-day stay requiring a permanently dedicated account manager (bookings, transport, ad hoc requests). The rate includes a daily volume of hours (typically 6-10 hours) and round-the-clock standby.

3. Monthly retainer (regular clients)

For second-home owners, internationally mobile executives or VIP clients with recurring needs. A monthly package gives access to a defined number of hours, with overage billed by the hour.

Why rates vary so much between Cannes agencies

For a comparable brief, you can see a 1-to-3 spread between Cannes agencies. Three factors explain these differences.

Factor 1: the agency's cost structure

An agency with 20 permanent staff at 45 La Croisette has high fixed costs (rent, salaries, social charges) that are passed on through fees. An independent concierge of 2 people has lower costs but reduced operational capacity.

Factor 2: the commission policy on partners

Some agencies apply a 10 to 25 % commission on services billed by their partners (yacht, caterer, florist). This commission can be: explicit (a line item in the quote), implicit (the price quoted already includes the commission), or hidden (you pay the net price and the partner kicks back a commission to the agency off the books).

Our policy: zero hidden commission. Partner services are billed at the partner's NET price (which you can verify). Our coordination fees appear on a separate line in the quote.

Factor 3: the actual level of personalisation

A standard request (Carlton booking + Palme d'Or dinner + chauffeur) takes the same amount of time at any agency. A complex request (multi-supplier event over 5 days, security crisis management, negotiating rare access) requires a level of experience that comes at a price.

What a good concierge quote should contain

The 8 mandatory line items

Common client mistakes on pricing

Mistake 1: choosing the lowest hourly rate

An hourly rate of 80 EUR can hide: 50 % more hours billed than necessary, hidden commissions on partners, or simply incompetence that multiplies the time spent. A 130 EUR rate may end up cheaper if the agency is efficient.

Mistake 2: not budgeting for tips

In luxury service, a 5-15 % tip is socially expected (even if not legally required). For a 100,000 EUR stay, plan on 5,000-15,000 EUR of tips on top.

Mistake 3: underestimating ancillary services

For a villa stay, the rent is only 30-40 % of the total cost. Catering, transport, outings, hotel-style services: budget DOUBLE the rent as a realistic overall figure.

Mistake 4: paying cash without an invoice

Above 1,000 EUR, cash payments are illegal in France. An agency offering this method of payment is breaking the law and exposing you to tax risk.

Frequently asked questions

What is your minimum entry point?

250 EUR ex VAT for a single one-off request. Below that, we will honestly steer you towards a direct booking: we never bill for services that do not justify our involvement.

Are there hidden fees on partner services?

No. Partner services (yacht, caterer, chauffeur, florist...) are billed at the partner's net price. You can review the original invoices on request. Our coordination fees appear on a separate line.

Are deposits refundable?

Yes, up to 30 days before the service for event-driven stays (Festival, Monaco GP). Beyond that, terms depend on cancellations available with our partners (set out in the quote).

Do you accept international payments?

Yes: SEPA or international SWIFT transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), and crypto payments (BTC, ETH, USDC) on request for long-stay bookings.

Which package should I choose for a 4-day stay during the Festival?

For 4 days at the Festival with a full service, plan on 8,500 to 14,000 EUR ex VAT in fees (depending on the number of guests and complexity). Excluding partner services (suite, restaurants, access).

Is the quote chargeable?

No, never. First brief free of charge, detailed quote within 48 hours free and with no commitment. You only pay from the moment the contract is signed.

Do you offer discounts for regular clients?

Yes. From the 3rd stay in a year or for an annual retainer, a 10-15 % discount on our fees (not on partner services, which remain at net price).

Do you accept corporate expense accounts?

Yes, B2B invoicing with recoverable VAT, 30-day payment terms available, re-invoicing by entity or by file. Our accounting meets the requirements of large corporate clients.

A tailor-made request?

Our concierge team responds within 2 hours with a fully tailored proposal. Absolute discretion guaranteed.
